Fabric Wrap & Cushion Topper

Our microsuede and performance fabrics are designed to be low-maintenance and family-friendly. For everyday cleaning:

  • Spot clean with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild dish soap. Work in gentle circular motions.
  • Blot — don't rub — liquid spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn stains, contact us at hello@springandstitch.shop for fabric-specific cleaning advice.
  • Allow to air dry completely before replacing the topper or using the ottoman.
  • The cushion topper cover is removable. Hopper™ Microsuede: machine wash cold, gentle cycle, air dry. Performance Fabric (Hopper™ & Bounder™): spot clean or dry clean only. Bounder™ Designer Patterns: dry clean only.

Spring Cover & Frame

The spring cover snaps on and off for easy cleaning. Wipe down the frame and springs periodically with a dry or lightly damp cloth.

  • Remove the spring cover and wipe the frame with a dry cloth monthly.
  • Check bungee cords periodically for tension — they should feel consistent across the frame.
  • Do not expose the frame to prolonged moisture or outdoor conditions.

Care by Fabric Type

Care instructions vary by fabric. Always check your product tag.

  • Hopper™ Microsuede: Fully removable cover. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Air dry only — do not tumble dry. Do not iron or dry clean.
  • Hopper™ & Bounder™ Performance Fabric: Spot clean with mild soap and water, or dry clean. Bleach-cleanable for tough stains (1 cup bleach + 1 tsp dish soap per quart of water — rinse thoroughly, air dry). Do not machine wash.
  • Bounder™ Designer Patterns: Dry clean only. For minor stains, spot clean with mild soap and cold water. Do not machine wash or bleach.

Long-Term Care Tips

  • Rotate the cushion topper 180° every few months for even wear.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight for extended periods to preserve color vibrancy.
  • Store in a cool, dry place if not in use for extended periods.
  • Extra cover sets are available — a fresh set every season keeps your ottoman looking new.
