How the BYO Process Works

After you place your order, we'll email you a shipping address and fabric preparation instructions. Please include your order number with your fabric shipment. We'll confirm receipt and review your fabric for suitability before beginning production.
Upholstery-grade fabrics work best — typically 54″ wide, medium to heavy weight. Wovens, velvets, performance fabrics, and most decorator fabrics are suitable. We'll review your fabric before starting and let you know if there are any concerns. Avoid very sheer or lightweight fabrics that won't hold up to upholstery tension.
You'll need 7.5 yards of upholstery-grade fabric (54″ wide recommended). If you're adding trim, you'll also need 4 yards of tape/trim for outer pleats only, or 4.5 yards if trimming both outer and inner pleats. We recommend ordering a little extra to account for pattern matching or cutting variations.
Yes — if you have a specific fabric in mind but haven't purchased it yet, email us before ordering and we can discuss sourcing options. We have relationships with several fabric suppliers and may be able to help you find what you're looking for.
Lead time is approximately 4–6 weeks from when we receive and approve your fabric. We'll keep you updated throughout the process and confirm your expected ship date once fabric is received.
Contrast welting and piping are available — email us before placing your order to discuss details and pricing. You can supply the welting fabric yourself or we can source it.
Because BYO orders are custom-built to your specifications, they are non-refundable once production has begun. However, if there is a craftsmanship defect or error on our part, we will make it right. Please review your order details carefully before submitting.
